- NEW From NYSCHA!! Scholarships for the 2010 ACHA Annual Meeting
At its January 2010 meeting, the NYSCHA Executive Board approved the creation of two registration scholarships for the 2010 ACHA Annual Meeting in Philadelphia. Applications will be accepted from members of the Board as well as the general membership, with one scholarship awarded to individuals in each of the two areas. - NYSCHA 2010 Annual Meeting – Save the Date
October 20-22, 2010, Syracuse, NY
The New York State College Health Association will be hosting its 2010 Annual meeting at the Sheraton Syracuse University Hotel and Conference Center from October 20-22, 2010. The Annual Meeting promises to be an excellent learning and network opportunity for college health professionals, students, and colleagues interested in college health. The registration fee of $250 includes most meals.
Call for Proposals – The deadline for submission has been extended to Wednesday, March 31, 2010. Program proposals can now be completed online! We hope you find our online form easy to fill out.
Letters of Agreement for Exhibitors and Sponsors – These forms are now available. We encourage exhibitors to plan early to join us in October. Exhibitor space is limited.

- The College Health Symposium – Thursday, May 20, 2010
The College at Brockport will host the annual College Health Symposium on Thursday, May 20, 2010. A total of 5.25 CEU's will be awarded. Further details will be announced on this web site. - NYSCHA Programming Grant Awarded
Congratulations to SUNY Stony Brook University. The NYSCHA Executive Board awarded Stony Brook a programming grant for $1,000 to help with the purchase of CPR equipment to be used for their Red Watch Band alcohol education program, a program that has received national attention. Ellen Driscoll, LMSW, CASAC, the program creator, has traveled to colleges to share information about implementing it on other campuses. She will present at the NYSCHA 2010 Annual Meeting.

- NYSCHA Executive Board – New Officers Elected
NYSCHA held its election of new officers in October. We are pleased to announce the election of Pam Houle from Skidmore College to the position of President-Elect and Maureen Emerson from the University of Rochester to the position of Treasurer. The Executive Board held its first meeting of the year on January 15 at Syracuse University. Check Executive Board for a complete listing of Board members and “Welcome to Our Section” messages from the section chairs.

NYSCHA also recognizes its role as an advocate for health services and their representatives in areas relating to college health.
