NYSCHA ANNUAL MEETINGS

The New York State College Health Association (NYSCHA) holds an annual meeting in October every year. The annual meeting helps attendees stay abreast of current topics in college health and offers an excellent opportunity to network with colleagues in college health. The annual meetings are designed for anyone with an interest in college health, including physicians, nurses, nurse practitioners, physician assistants, health educators, social workers, mental health professionals, administrators, clinical support staff, and students.

Companies that provide services and products for college students and health services and non-profit organizations that specialize in services for students will be invited to exhibit on Wednesday and Thursday.

2012 CALL FOR PROGRAMS – Deadline: March 1, 2012
The online Call for Programs is available for you to submit a proposal. When submitting your proposal, please take a few minutes to read the instructions for presenters before you begin.

When completing your proposal, you will be asked to provide a title, abstract, rationale, 2-3 behavioral objectives, and information about yourself and any co-presenters you have. This information will be used by the planning committee in their selection process and by the ACHA Continuing Education Committee in their review and approval for continuing education credits. Your proposal will be reviewed by the end of April. Proposals submitted after March 1 will be considered as space allows.

If you have questions about presenting at the NYSCHA 2012 Annual Meeting, you can contact one of the NYSCHA Conference Planners (ldudman@uhs.rochester.edu or harrinrl@oneonta.edu) for assistance.

WE WELCOME YOUR IDEAS FOR TOPICS & SPEAKERS
We realize not everyone wants to be a presenter. We also know that many, if not all of you, have excellent ideas about topics that would help you in your college health setting. This is your opportunity to share your ideas with us. If you have recommendations for topics and/or speakers for the 2012 Annual Meeting, please let the planning committee know by sending an e-mail message to one of the NYSCHA Conference Planners at ldudman@uhs.rochester.edu or harrinrl@oneonta.edu. We will also be using the suggestions that were included on the evaluation forms from the 2012 NYSCHA/NECHA Annual Meeting.

The NYSCHA annual meetings provide companies and organizations an opportunity to showcase their products and/or services to individuals from college health centers. The exhibit hall will be open Wednesday, October 24 and Thursday, October 25. Exhibitors are invited to stay through the end of the day on Thursday to join us for our wine tasting reception. Exhibitors can join us for meals by purchasing individual meals using our “Meals Only” registration form. This form will be available on this web site by the end of May.

If you are interested in exhibiting at the NYSCHA 2012 Annual Meeting, please complete the Exhibitor Agreement Form below.

INFORMATION FOR SPONSORS
We offer opportunities for organizations to support NYSCHA through several sponsorship options. Support can be in the form of an unrestricted grant (i.e., the funds can be used where most needed) or a restricted grant (i.e., you specify how you would like the funds to be used).

Some suggestions to consider include hosting a food event (e.g., reception, luncheon, annual banquet); providing conference bags, lunch bags, jump drives, or other items for attendees; providing wine or sponsoring the purchase of wine for the wine tasting reception.

We welcome your suggestions. If you are interested in becoming a sponsor, please contact Linda Dudman, NYSCHA Conference Planner at ldudman@uhs.rochester.edu or (585) 273-5770 to discuss the options.

ADVERTISEMENTS IN THE CONFERENCE BOOKLET
Exhibitors and sponsors can purchase advertisement space in the NYSCHA Conference Program Book. The cost is $100 for a half page advertisement or $200 for a full page advertisement. Please use the “Exhibitor Agreement Form” if you would like to purchase advertisement space. If you choose to have an advertisement in the conference booklet, you will be provided with specifications by the end of August.
